With little knowledge and some DIY ideas, you can already make your own organic rabbit repellents that you can apply for daily or weekly basis. Here are some helpful details that you can use to make an organic repellent even in your home:

  1.  Hot Chili and Garlic Powder Mixture – One such organic repellent can be made by only mixing garlic pepper with estimated amount of hot chili or pepper. After you mixed the ingredients, you have to add some water then leave the mixture for 2 to 3 days. Next, strain it & add few drops of dish washing soap (liquefied) to your mixture. Now, you can already spray this solution to your plants and veggies using a spray bottle.
  2. Garlic and Egg Mixture – Rabbits have a very keen sense of smell, and mostly, they do not like the smell of eggs and garlic. So to make an effective smell-based repellent, you can make a mixture of garlic and egg which can be combined with Tabasco sauce, liquid dish washing soap and milk to create a strong fume.
  3. Vinegar-One of the easiest and practical organic repellent available in your home is to pace some corn cobs that are soaked in vinegar. Egg and vinegar also works well if spread on the boarder of your garden. Vinegar releases a strong scent that makes rabbit move away from the area where it is sprinkled.
  4. Planting Organic Herbs? Many gardeners have also gained some benefit from planting certain plants in their garden, which on the other hand are known to release fume that deter rabbits. These plants are also termed as ‘natural pest repellent’. Such herbs/plants include catnip plants, digitalis, foxgloves, aconitum, etc. Even aromatic plants like levanter can also act as a rabbit repellent, though we find it pleasing to our senses.

Going economical? Then, making your own organic repellent is one of the practical and affordable solutions at hand to resolve all your garden needs!
