In case you are protecting a large area, it will be advisable to add other methods to deter rabbits. You can spray cayenne pepper on edible plants, dust its lower leaves with talcum powder or mix ingredients with strong odor and spray it around your garden. You can also add plants like chives, lavender, daffodils, and sage around your garden edges. Rabbits hate such plants.

If case you have some bucks, you can also opt for fox urine pellets or granules. Again, foxes are rabbit’s predators. Meaning, they are afraid to get into their territory. Unfortunately, using pellets or granules made from predator urine might not be effective in the long run. Rabbits might become accustomed to unpleasant odor. Moreover, the smell wears away after rain which calls for reapplication.

Apart from fox urine, some people opt to use dried blood. Some homeowners believe that the smell of dried blood can effectively deter rabbits from their lawn. However, putting such in your garden borders might not be preferable especially when your children are playing around. You surely don’t want them to hold such.

Both dried blood and fox urine can be purchased at your local garden or grange store. This kind of odor repellent will require you to spend some bucks. If you opt for this solution, prepare yourself with its smell. Its scent isn’t just undesirable for animals but even for humans. So better think twice before choosing such repellent.

Rabbit odor repellents may not always effective. If you have tried all of these but still find some cute but pesky rabbits roaming around your garden, you can try other methods such as fencing or use other kind of repellents.
